	How to publish the news in our Club
	Welcome! Here you have a friendly reference guide to help you publish your News - which means - release a post with your new shared material. So let's get started right away On the left hand side of our Club site's front page, look a little under Member Login and you will find the Add news link. Click on that and you will open the Submit Article web-page which has an "Editor" where you will fill your "News" which is how we add New Releases. To have your News (new release) published, certain guidelines need to be followed so that our Club's site keeps its structure and members can easily and comfortably navigate through it. These guidelines are not at all complicated. Before you start filling in the release, you should have the following ready: (a) Link for downloading your release This means you should have uploaded your release. The most common servers used in our Club are: rapidshare.com or megaupload.com or sharebee.com. Use any other similar one you want. See the note at the bottom if you use the Russian server ifolder (b) Album (release) cover picture(s) If you cannot scan your disc cover, then use Google Images and enter your: "Artist Name" "Album Name" (like this) to find a suitable picture. The max picture size accepted is 100 kb. The most preferable pic size is 330x330 px. As an alternative, you can have ready the URL (internet address) of the picture's location and our moderators will add it themselves. (c) Relevant details of the release The Artist, Album name, Label, Release year, Genre, Format (ex flac or mp3), Bit Rate (ex 320 or VBR), the playing Time of the album, and the Size of the download. That's right! Please, find all this data about an album you are going to post. To fill each of them is a Club requirement that has to be fulfilled. (d) Track List & Credits All the album's tracks with preferably the length of time of each track, and if available, the Personnel, such as the musicians that participated in the recording and the instrument or role they played. (e) Annotations or reviews These should preferably be made by authoritative websites. Ex: allmusic.com amazon.com, or others. This is not absolutely required, but your news will look much better, will attract much more Club members and will be more interesting if you do so. When quoting the review, the name of the author has to be mentioned. (f) Details & Interesting information This includes biography information about the artists, website links to the artists, other reviews and anything else you would like to add or can say. Your imagination is your limit here. You will have to have the ones above marked in red (a,b,c,d) before you can release anything. For the others (e & f), it would be very nice and appreciated if you could put in some effort on getting these too. Are you ready now? Let's Get Started! 1) Click the Add news link on the left side of the page. This takes you to the Submit Article web-page that has the - Publication the news on the site - Editor. 2) At the top of the Editor, the first field is: Enter the title: Here, enter ONLY: ReleaseYear: Artist - Album ex. 2003: Cassandra Wilson - Glamoured 3) The next field is Category: Scroll through this box and select (click on) the most appropriate Genre or Category for your release. ex. Vocal Jazz 4) That Was Easy! Next section is Argument: Here you will enter some short information about the album you are posting. (a) First of all you will put in the album cover picture you have ready. (You do have it ready, yes?) Upload this image to our server. To do this, look at the panel above the "Editor" to the right of BBCodes:, find and click on this icon ; and in the new small window that opens, click on "Browse", navigate through the folders on your hard drive and find and select the picture, then click on "Upload". Once it has uploaded, just click the file name which has appeared below. This automatically puts the necessary code into the Editor. (Remember max size - 100 kb, preferred dimensions - 330x330 pixels). Alternatively use this button to link to the picture (align it left) or you can just paste in the internet address of where the picture is located, and our moderators will add it themselves. (b) Next, paste this below into the editor and fill it in. (Look at other news releases if you are confused how to do this). Artist: Album: Label: Year: ; Release: Genre: Format, bitrate: Time: Size: (c) The next step is to add in your short annotation or review. Though this is not absolutely required, it is really a shame if you do not do it as when you do, your news will look much better, attract the attention of many more Club members, and will be much more interesting. When quoting a review, the name of the author has to be mentioned. The whole review text is marked in italics, while the Reviewer's Name is marked in bold. Highlight the text you want to format, and click the italic or bold buttons above to give the proper formatting to the highlighted text. Do the review first in italic, then the reviewer's name in bold. Periodically use the "Review" button below editor to see how your text will look. 5) Awesome! The next section is News: Though it is mentioned below News: that (it's not of necessity), still the following lesser information is needed: A "Track List" is to be put in, preferably with the length of time of each track, like this: TRACK LIST: 01. Fragile (4:37) 02. Sleight of Time (4:12) Also, if available, the personnel/musicians that participated in the recording should be mentioned. 6) After this your post is ruled by your imagination. For example: - Any interesting information about the album - Interesting links - use this icon in BBCodes: - Relevant images - for linked images use - You own related images - to upload (max 100 kb) use - To make your news look better, you can change the font appearance, using these icons in BBCodes: - BOLD - Italic - UNDERLINED - Different Colors (Remember, that RED color and all its gradations can only be used by the site Administration!!) Almost done! Just a little bit more 7) The Download Link You have composed a lovely release page, and now you must insert your download link for the file you have uploaded so that you can share it. Paste in this link and also mention here if there are any passwords that apply to the link or the file for downloading. If you are new, you may skip now to step 10. If you skip steps 8 & 9, do not worry, the moderators will do the rest. (If you are comfortable and familiar with using BBCodes please do try and continue). The same applies for the rest of the steps below. If the first few times you get stuck, do not worry. The moderators will help you complete them. Once you are a regular, please do continue onwards The way the link is added follows: a) Click the Link button b) Paste in your URL address into the "Enter full URL" box that appears c) Paste this into the next "Enter the name of the website" box that appears: Прослушать / Link 8) Next, our standard copying warning should be added: Below your download link, just copy and paste the following: Файл предоставлен только для предварительного ознакомления. (a) Mark (select/highlight) the part of your post with your links to the album, archive password (if necessary) and the copying warning, and click the "Insert Quote" button in BBCodes: - (b) Now once again mark (select/highlight) all that text including the new [quote] and [/quote] text, and click the "hidden text" button in BBCodes: - These steps ensure that your links are invisible to unauthorized visitors. Now have a look at your gorgeous work by clicking the "Review" button below. You might want to make some adjustments, or if everything is to your satisfaction then you have done well! If anything is a little off, don't worry, the moderators will fix it. 10) Send in your new News!! - Just click the Sent button below the Editor! Note that it may take some time (up to a few hours or more) for the moderators to check your post and fix it. Please do be patient - it will be checked and will be posted - or else you will get a private message to help clarify any inconsistencies. Congratulations! You've just finished your news! We can hardly wait for your correctly filled new posts! ifolder notes Sometimes the Russian server ifolder is used and it causes some difficulties during the downloading process. If you use the ifolder server for sharing files in our Club you have to insert the below code in your post below the link! Please copy and paste it exactly as it shows below. It will give the proper download instructions to the viewer of your post. How to download from ifolder: A) First, if there are many parts of one file, choose the file you want to download from the list of all files by clicking an appropriate link. Second, on the next page find the link called "скачать" - its with a small red arrow on its right hand (). On the next page you have to choose any link in order to be transfered to their sponsor's web-site. In order to get the download link you must to stay on the site you've chosen for 30 seconds. As soon as you are transfered to that site you will see the small box above the site page with a 30 seconds countdown. Wait 30 seconds and then the link is yours. Click the link which looks like this: нажмите сюда. In the next window enter the code, click the link, and on the next page click again the following link: A small hint: If you get sick of the necessity of viewing a commercial you can carry out a small manipulation: you have to catch the moment between starting of the countdown and loading the page - press "Esc" within these few seconds and the page will stay just white with a countdown on the top. B) You can also use the google-translation service. Usually it works well.
